On April 25, 2019, the American Chinese Friendship Society held its first public meetup in Waynesville.The small but enthusiastic crowd included a few Waynesville community members as well as several people associated with Western Carolina University, including the dean of the WCU College of Business, and administrators and professors from various other colleges and International Programs.
